We wanted to take a moment to reflect upon the work Chris Yu did as our officiant. We met with a few other officiants before meeting Chris. And in a way we are glad we did. It allowed us to appreciate just how awesome Chris is at this. Within ten minutes, we felt like he was a friend. He somehow managed to balance being incredibly well organized, thoughtful, caring with being casual and making us feel relaxed before our big day. And we knew we were in good hands right from the start, making us feel more relaxed and less stressed about the ceremony knowing someone like him would be the officiant. On the day of, he came around early to check in on us. We think he knew our nerves were a bit high. He calmly told us how great things were going to be, and we believed him. Chris Yu was such a pleasure to work with from the day we first met him to our wedding day. We initially Skyped with Chris as we had met with an officiant who we felt did not suite our personalities. As soon as we spoke to Chris, we both felt like he was the right choice for us and our ceremony. Throughout the process of planning our ceremony, Chris was very helpful and offered support to make the process stress-free. On the day-of, Chris checked in with us before the ceremony to make us feel at-ease and spoke to family members that had a role. After our ceremony, we had so many people comment on how great the officiant was and ask us how we knew him. Our officiant was great. Even though we had an idea of what our ceremony should look like, Chris leveraged his experience to provide suggestions. We agreed to every one of Chris' suggestions and in the end, it made our ceremony so much more special.  Chris is all around a great guy: He's naturally charismatic and funny. The ceremony is a very emotional event, so it's great for Chris to throw in the occasional joke to get everyone to laugh, and also an opportunity for the photographer to take some nice candid shots!  We could not have asked for a better officiant, and you did amazing.
